The Mathematics department looks to develop a love for the subject hand in hand with outstanding progress and attainment.   We believe that Mathematics is a subject that should be continuously used and applied in a purposeful and engaging way.

Our aim is to ensure that every student fulfils their potential in Mathematics.  We aim to achieve this through an engaging curriculum that is delivered by a team of exceptional teachers.  Through a personalised approach to planning, we will ensure that every student is challenged, supported and inspired so that they make good progress.

In our department, we have an SPS teacher who enables us to target gaps in learning and accelerate progress for those falling behind.  They are also used to enable staff to joint plan and assess in detail, therefore, ensuring there is a good match between student’s needs and lessons planned.
